Received her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Barcelona in 2008. She has participated in 35 research projects, authored 174 scientific articles and 52 book chapters, and has received numerous grants (14) and awards (26). She is a faculty member of the Spanish and European Society of Radiation Oncology. She has supervised 6 doctoral theses and 46 undergraduate and master’s theses. She has served as President of the Catalan-Balearic Society of Oncology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and as a board member of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology. She is currently Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Viamed Hospital in Tarragona – Mercurius Health and at Sant Joan University Hospital in Reus. She is a tenured professor at the School of Medicine of Rovira i Virgili University. She is also Director of the Radiation Oncology Research Group at the Pere Virgili Institute for Health Research. She is a trustee of the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and a member of the Tarragona Medical Association (COMT). Her primary line of research focuses on the identification of molecular biomarkers based on energy metabolism, oxidative stress, and the immune system in breast cancer, as well as the radiobiological basis of low-dose radiation therapy.

Assistant Physician, Radiation Oncology Department, Viamed Tarragona Hospital – Mercurius Health; Ph.D. candidate in Medicine, Rovira i Virgili University (URV) Trainee researcher at the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute (IISPV) ORCID: 0009-0001-0808-2552 Specialist in radiation oncology. She earned her medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 2016 and completed her specialty training at the Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital (HUSJR) in 2024, Tarragona, Spain. She is certified as a supervisor and operator of radioactive facilities by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council. She has completed training stints at internationally renowned centers, such as the Greater Poland Cancer Center (brachytherapy) and the New York Proton Center (proton therapy). She has also expanded her experience in pediatric oncology at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. She is an active member of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology (SEOR), the Catalan-Balearic Society of Oncology (SCBO), and the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO). She has served as a speaker at national and international conferences. She has been awarded several fellowships, including the Olga Acebes Fellowship (2024) and a fellowship from the Tarragona Medical Association for her international scientific work. Author and co-author of scientific articles in indexed journals and of a book chapter. She actively participates in research projects in radiation oncology. She currently works as an assistant physician in the Radiation Oncology Department at Viamed Tarragona Hospital – Mercurius Health. She is a doctoral student at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and a recipient of the Junior Clinician Fellowship from the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), with a research project on prostate cancer being conducted at the IISPV and the HUSJR.
